OPERATIONS MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES OF EMPLOYMENT

POSITION TITLE: OPERATIONS MANAGER

LOCATION: PHNOM PENH OR KAMPOT

CONTRACT TYPE:  FT (renewable), after 3-month trial 5 days per week

HOURS: 9am-6pm

SALARY: Commensurate with experience, with benefits

REPORTS TO: MANAGING DIRECTOR

The Operations Manager will ensure that Dorsu product, processes and work environment are at the highest standard both in production and retail. Through managing operational systems for sales, retail, logistics, and customer service, the Operations Manager will focus on ensuring smooth and effective daily coordination across all departments.

Direct managerial responsibilities include: overseeing premises, production, and inventory allocation and warehousing. Working closely with Dorsu’s MD, Production Manager and HR Officer, the Operations Manager will track and communicate progress on all of Dorsu’s projects highlighting challenges and assessing opportunities where appropriate.

While overseeing the company departments the Operations Manager will perform tasks to coordinate suppliers and service providers related to production and distribution such as co-ordinating screen-printing and shipping & logistics, when needed.

Designed to the applicant’s experience and the company’s current need, this role will also incorporate sharing sales and client management and customer service responsibilities with the Managing Director.

As Dorsu grows there is opportunity to drive new projects and initiatives in alignment with business and organizational objectives.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following listed duties will be managed in close partnership with the MD, Production Manager and performed in a positive and professional manner at all times.

RETAIL MANAGEMENT

  • Store manager, customer service & sales during “Open Studio” hours Stock management (count, request and receive)
  • Daily expenses and bookkeeping
  • Store reporting
  • Daily cleaning, building and equipment maintenance check
  • Safety policies & procedures quarterly review and communications Shipping and receiving assistance, as needed

DAILY TEAM & PRODUCTION OVERSIGHT:

  • All-hands meeting with department heads
  • Coach and support team members to meet department responsibilities, problem-solve, effectively manage team members and uphold safety standards at all times
  • Plan upcoming production requests based on sales review and upcoming releases / events

INVENTORY, WAREHOUSING & DISTRIBUTION:

  • Stock inventory allocation
  • Stocktake of raw materials and finished goods
  • Monitor raw material levels to prevent disruption to production
  • Oversee and approve raw materials purchasing
  • Manage raw materials and finished goods storage to ensure it is clean, organised and efficient at all times
  • Manage stock movements and orders distribution

ATTITUDE & PRESENTATION

  • Encourage, motivate and nurture all Dorsu staff, upholding a positive, safe and productive working environment
  • Remain approachable and relatable to all staff
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer service, leading the team by example
  • Represent Dorsu in the wider community respectfully
  • Participate in all training and try hard to learn with a positive attitude
